The ”Leaf” ornaments of Artsakh replicate the designs of the ”Artsakh” rug, which dates back to the 14th–15th centuries. Very few rugs of this kind were produced in Artsakh, as the region predominantly created geometric, floral, and zodiac-style rugs. The unique style of this rug was later adopted by other nations as a classical model, leading them to begin producing rugs with similar designs.
